I didn&#8217;t know what to expect but I learned many different things. I would like to have it in paper so I could take notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I didn&#8217;t know the middle east had a drugs issue. He visited Irak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idea of scarcity is a system that kept us alive in our early days as humans in the sabana, when we were hunter-gatheres. Everything was scarce. We had to find food everybody. We need something internal to keep pushing to find food, shelter and reproduction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem, our environment has evolved so fast that our psychology hasn&#8217;t caught up. We have plenty of all. The scarcity loop causes problems with every type of addiction: gambling, alcohol (like the author), drugs, food, sex, consumption, information, etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The book starts in Casinos of Las Vegas and ends in a Benedict Monastery, that nearly summarizes all the issues and how the Rules of Saint Benedict based on pray and work (ora et labora) and full daily routine keeps people happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When buying thing: it is gear or stuff?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A person stuck in a scarcity loop only stops for three reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The opportunity goes away<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The rewards stop trickling in<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The repetition slows down<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I liked this ebook.
