Trainnium != CPU|GPU. And this is a great analysis about <a href=\"https:\/\/semianalysis.com\/2024\/12\/03\/amazons-ai-self-sufficiency-trainium2-architecture-networking\/\">Trainium2<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Neurnlink: min 60, I guess this is the equivalent of NVLink, etc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ultraserver, quite beefy pic, min 61.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Networking: min 73:  10p10u is a fabric = 10petabits under 10micro latency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cabling proprietary  trunk connector 16:1 fiber. min 77. I pretty use i have used pig-tails some years ago, so not sure why this is new? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Firefly optic plug: loopback testing. This is interesting for DC operations. Min 78.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AWS design their own optics, reduced failure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Network topology: Min 81, new protocol SIDR &#8211; Scalable Intent Driven Routing. &lt;1s reconvergence. not centralized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And this is a better <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextplatform.com\/2024\/12\/03\/aws-reaps-the-benefits-of-the-custom-silicon-it-has-sown\/\">summary<\/a> than mine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MzpzJLBUZDc\">AWS re:Invent 2024 &#8211; NET201<\/a>: The only interesting thing is minute 29 with the usage of hollow core fiber, to improve latency. I assume it is used in very specific parts of the network, looks a bit fragile. Elastic Fabric Adapter, not really good explanation what it is, where doest it run: network, server, nic? but it seems important. Looks like SIDR?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=COo3RcFb7rU\">AWS re:Invent 2024 &#8211; NET403<\/a>: I think 401 and 402 were more interesting. There were repeated things from the two other talks.  Still worth watching and hopefully there is a new one in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/ai-infrastructure\/?source=:so:li:or:awr:ocorp:::GB200&amp;SC=:so:li:or:awr:ocorp:::GB200&amp;pcode=\">Oracle Cloud Infra &#8211; AI<\/a>: First time I visit the OCI page about their AI infra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/deepmind.google\/discover\/blog\/gencast-predicts-weather-and-the-risks-of-extreme-conditions-with-sota-accuracy\/\">GenCast<\/a>: weather predict by Google Mind.  Not sure until what point, this can be used by anybody?
