{"id":1659,"date":"2024-03-18T21:50:57","date_gmt":"2024-03-18T21:50:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/?p=1659"},"modified":"2024-03-18T21:50:57","modified_gmt":"2024-03-18T21:50:57","slug":"garlic-chili-noodles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/index.php\/2024\/03\/18\/garlic-chili-noodles\/","title":{"rendered":"Garlic Chili Noodles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I tried this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bG8KpOvN5V8\">recipe<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<br>150g extra firm tofu (more is ok)<br>5-6 pieces garlic<br>small piece ginger<br>3 sticks green onion<br>olive oil for frying<br>3 tsp dark soy sauce<br>150g noodles (of your choice)<br>1 tbsp paprika (didnt have gochugaru)<br>1 tbsp plant-based oyster sauce (didnt use)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mash the tofu into a crumble with a fork<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finely chop the garlic, ginger, and green onions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat up a nonstick pan to medium heat with olive oil. Add the crumbled tofu. Saut\u00e9 for 3-4min<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add 2 tsp dark soy sauce and saut\u00e9 for another couple of minutes. Set the tofu aside<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring a pot of water to boil for the noodles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the nonstick pan back on medium low heat. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and the garlic and ginger. Cook for about 2-3min<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the water comes to a boil, cook the noodles for 1 min less to package instructions. Stir occasionally to keep them from sticking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the paprika to the garlic and ginger. Cook for about 1min. Then, add the oyster sauce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strain out the noodles and add to the pan. Add 1 tsp dark soy sauce and the crumbled tofu. Turn the heat up to medium and saut\u00e9 for 2-3min.
