{"id":1230,"date":"2023-04-11T23:04:41","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T22:04:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/?p=1230"},"modified":"2023-04-11T23:04:41","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T22:04:41","slug":"leek-and-mushroom-pasta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/index.php\/2023\/04\/11\/leek-and-mushroom-pasta\/","title":{"rendered":"Leek and Mushroom Pasta"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I took &#8220;inspiration&#8221; in this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Yj7UfZR_yqA\">video<\/a> to cook something with leeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 big leeks: cleaned as per video and sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>200g mushroom: cleaned and sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 cloves of garlic finely chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 sheets of lasagne<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 vegetable or beef stock cube + 500ml boling water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20ml cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp chilli paste &#8211; optional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2-3 tsp soy sauce &#8211; optional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Splash of white wine &#8211; optional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50g of grated cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 bunch of asparagus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 green pepper sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>salt + pepper + a bit of butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a hot pan, fry the mushrooms, they should sizzle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the garlic, be sure doesnt burn!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the leeks to the pan. Keep stirring so nothings sticks to the pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Season with salt + pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the chilli, soy sauce and wine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disolve the cube stock in the boiling water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the stock to the mushrooms and leeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There will be a look to liquid so keep stirring.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the cream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After a couple of minutes, add a lasagne sheet at each time into the pan. The sheet should cook in the liquid. Repeat with all of them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The sheets should break down and the sauce shouldnt be very dense anymore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a baking dish, use a bit of butter to cover the bottom and pour the mushroom and leek mix.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pre-heat the oven at 200C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the same pan, fry the asparagus and green pepper until they are charred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add them on top of the mushroom and leeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the grated cheese on top of the asparagus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake in the oven for 15 minutes aprox, until the top is brown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the result:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1231\" width=\"558\" height=\"470\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-4.png 649w, https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/image-4-300x253.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 558px) 85vw, 558px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be honest, it was quite tasty!
