So finally this weekend was the time to try this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ytreats.com\/receta-de-bolo-podre\/\">recipe<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 medium eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g honey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>75ml olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>150g plain flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tbs cinnamon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tbs baking powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 ground anise grains.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A bit of butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pre-heat oven at 180C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whisk eggs and sugar until double in volume. It takes time doing it by hand!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add honey and oil, bit a bit and keep whisking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder and anise. Mix all well<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour the mix in a greased tin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake for 45 minutes aprox. Use a tooth stick or similar to check the inside is cook before removing from oven.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Result:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"358\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1184\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image.png 696w, https:\/\/blog.thomarite.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/image-300x154.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It raised more than I expected. It wasn&#8217;t as moist as I remember but it was tasty. Based on the ingredients reminded me of a olive-Greek cake I did some months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I checked other recipes like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iguaria.com\/sobremesa\/bolo\/bolo-podre-alentejano\/\">this<\/a> so maybe I will try again at some point.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a typical Southern Portugal cake that I tried two Christmas and quite liked as looks simple and tasty.
