It was so good that I wanted to try and some time later I found this <a href=\"https:\/\/seths.blog\/the-king-of-dal\/\">recipe<\/a>.  I failed miserably. Again I tried last week using a different <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/food\/recipes\/dal_makhani_30779\">recipe<\/a>, that doesn&#8217;t looks like very authentic after reading others but still I went for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>3\/4 cup of lentils put in water the night before<\/li><li>1 can of beans (mixed, kidney, etc)<\/li><li>1 large onion finely chopped<\/li><li>1 tbsp garlic chopped<\/li><li>1 tbsp ginger grated<\/li><li>2 tbsp medium curry powder<\/li><li>ping of chilli paste.<\/li><li>75g butter<\/li><li>1 can full fat coconut milk<\/li><li>1 can chopped tomatoes<\/li><li>salt, pepper<\/li><li>150g spinach<\/li><li>3\/4 cup of rice + 1 star anise<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Put same amount of rice and boiling water in a pan at medium heat. Put the star anise in the middle.<\/li><li>After a couple of minutes reduce to low heat the rice. Dont stir and check from time to time to avoid getting burn.<\/li><li>In a medium-heat frying pan, put half of butter, onion, garlic, ginger, curry powder and chilli paste. Cook until the onions are soft.<\/li><li>Pour the coconut milk and tomatoes, season with salt\/pepper. Bring to boil and then to simmer.<\/li><li>Add beans, lentils and remaining butter. Simmer for 30 minutes or so.<\/li><li>Taste it!
